 Kurek
Ashley was born and raised in Chicago IL, USA in 1961 where he lived
for his early childhood. Kurek was a big dreamer... and at the age
of 18 moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career acting in Hollywood.
He did many movies working alongside the likes of John Travolta,
Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Charlie Sheen, Demi Moore and
Sharon Stone. When he was not in-front of the camera he worked
long hours behind the camera working on the sets of TV shows like
The Dukes of Hazards.
In 1989, while Kurek was filming a
movie called Delta Force 2 with Chuck Norris he was involved in a
helicopter crash where 5 of his friends died - his best friend died
in his arms on the way to hospital. For the years following
this Kurek's life spiralled into depression, drugs and suicide.
After making a decision to change his
life, Kurek knew he was destined to continue teaching others that
they too have the power within themselves to overcome their fears,
limiting beliefs and achieve success - even if they have not had a
helicopter crash or tragedy in their life.

Kurek is the Success Coach for Natalie
Cook and Kerri Ann Pottharst of the Australian Women’s Olympic Beach
Volleyball team, taking them to a GOLD Medal victory at the 2000
Olympics in Sydney. And has also worked with the Brisbane Bronco’s
taking them to the winning of the premiership title in the 1999/2000
season.
On November 22, 1998 Kurek broke the
World Record for the longest “Firewalk”, where he walked on 81
meters (266 feet) of 600-degree coals at the Brisbane RNA
Showgrounds. He teaches people that we all have unlimited potential
and can do what ever we want when we have focus and take action.
Kurek is a top firewalk instructor and takes thousands of people
across the coals safely.
Along with Kurek’s hectic schedule as
a presenter, Kurek's charismatic, energetic and entertaining
presentation style can be attributed to his success as a stand up
comedian where he sold out many of his performances.
